The three others who gave Walker $250,000 each during one week this month were Missouri residents David C. Humphreys and his sister Sarah Atkins, both of Tamko Building Products, and Stanley M. Herzog of Herzog Contracting.
Members of the Humphreys family are some of the largest Republican donors in Missouri.
David Humphreys, who contributed $125,000 last year to the expected gubernatorial campaign of Missouri’s Republican Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, made news last fall by asking for his money back after Kinder admitted he frequented an Illinois strip club while he was a state senator in the 1990s. Kinder did not return the money but ultimately decided against running for governor.

Toledo Strip Clubs: North Toledo may get two new strip clubs

NORTH TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – Two new strip clubs could be coming to north Toledo, despite some residents’ concerns. The city of Toledo has received two applications for adult-oriented businesses in the area.
At least one of the locations has the same investors as Platinum Showgirls, a strip club that burned down back in August. The club was destroyed and is no longer usable.
Platinum Kisses may move in front of the NorthTowne Mall in a building on the corner of Detroit and Alexis that used to be a restaurant.
Another strip club could be going in at the former Jed’s BBQ and Headliners.
Toledo City Councilwoman Lindsay Webb said the two businesses are complying with zoning laws and since adult-oriented businesses are protected by the Constitution, there is nothing council can do to regulate them.

Webb explained she is always concerned about the NorthTowne Mall property. She worries a strip club in the parking lot could drive away shoppers.

Toledo Strip Clubs: Wolever to get 2nd competency eval

Mr. Wolever has been in custody since Sept. 24, when he was charged with shooting at a fire station. He remains in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $300,000 bond.
According to the Oct. 3 indictment, Mr. Wolever is charged with shooting at Station 6, 642 Starr Ave., once on Sept. 21 and again on Sept. 24, during which time an on-duty firefighter was struck by a ricocheting bullet. He is also charged with aggravated arson for allegedly leaving an incendiary device outside Station 18, 5221 Lewis Ave., on Sept. 22.
At the time of the alleged incidents, Mr. Wolever was on paid leave from his job for conduct that included failing to show up at work because he went to a strip club or had gone home to take a nap, according to written reprimands from his superiors. He was fired from his job Oct. 5, after he failed to appear at a hearing.

Toledo Strip Clubs: Kevin Wolever competency hearing at 1 pm

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – The hearing to reveal the results of Kevin Wolever’s psychological examination has been pushed back to 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 22.
The psychological examination will establish if Wolever is competent to stand trial and whether he will be able to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
Wolever was arraigned on charges last November that he shot at Fire Station 6 on Starr Avenue in September, left a bag of charcoal with a canister of propane inside of it in front of Fire Station 18 on Lewis and lit it up. Wolever was also charged with opening fire on fire station 6 again.
Wolever was a city fire inspector who exhibited irrational behavior in the month before the attacks. He admitted to leaving work early to go to sleep or to go to strip clubs.

Sarah Patterson was a stripper at a night club in the Greenwich Village section of New York City. FARGO — A former Fargo man faces a felony theft charge for allegedly writing more than $8,000 in bad checks to a Fargo strip club in 2008.Corey Wayne Lindstrom, 30, now of Sylvania, Ohio, is accused of passing the checks from July 2008 through November 2008 at the Northern Gentleman’s Club at 325 10th St. N.A warrant issued Dec. 22, 2008, for Lindstrom’s arrest was withdrawn Wednesday when he appeared in Cass County District Court and made a promise to appear again on Dec. 8.His hired attorney, Bruce Quick, said “we’ll aggressively defend” against the charges.According to court documents:Fargo police began investigating when they received a letter from the club’s manager containing 13 checks totaling $5,175 allegedly written by Lindstrom on his Gate City Bank account. The checks had been returned for insufficient funds.Through a subpoena, police obtained a letter the bank had sent to Lindstrom warning that his account had been overdrawn since July and was close …

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – The State Department put a freeze Monday on expansion of a program that lines up summer jobs in the U.S. for foreign college students, citing persistent complaints about young people getting ripped off and exploited.
At issue is the J-1 visa program, which began in 1963 as a way to encourage cultural understanding by allowing young adults from other countries to spend their summers living, working and traveling in the U.S.
Nearly a year ago, The Associated Press reported numerous abuses, including cases in which students were put up in shabby, crowded apartments and forced to work grueling hours at backbreaking, menial jobs for $1 an hour or less. Some ended up going to homeless shelters for food or a place to sleep. At least one woman told the AP she was beaten and forced to work as a stripper in Detroit in 2005.

According to the indictment, Mr. Wolever is charged with a shooting that night in which an on-duty firefighter was struck, but not injured, by a ricocheting bullet. The incident occurred about 10:20 p.m. at Station 6 at 642 Starr Ave.
The same station was shot at for a first time on Sept. 21. In that incident, Mr. Wolever is charged with two gun specifications, including that he was allegedly shooting from a vehicle at the time.
Mr. Wolever is also charged with aggravated arson for allegedly leaving an incendiary device outside Station 18 at 5221 Lewis Ave. on Sept. 22.
At the time of the alleged incidents, Mr. Wolever was on paid leave from his job — at which he was paid just over $38,400 in 2010 — for conduct that included failing to show up at work because he went to a strip club or had gone home to take a nap, according to written reprimands from his superiors.

The mayhem started on Sept. 21 when two gunshots were fired at Station 6 just before 4:30 p.m. One bullet pierced a glass window and the second bullet struck a wall, according to a search warrant. A witness told investigators that a silver Jeep Wrangler, driven by a white man, about 6-feet tall with a solid build, sped away from the station.
The next day, about 10:15 a.m., an open propane tank was found inside a burning bag of charcoal near an overhead door at Station 18 at 5225 Lewis Ave.
That same day, the search warrants affirm that investigators were narrowing in on Mr. Wolever, naming him as a potential suspect in the attacks. The search warrants do not cite a motive for the attacks, but Mr. Wolever, in the days leading up to the first attack, was in trouble with his supervisors for various incidents while on duty, including going to a strip club and going home to take a four-hour nap, according to written reprimands.
