SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) — Kalisha Madden and Cherice Gordon have been missing for nearly three months. Both women are exotic dancers from Detroit. Many wonder if their lifestyle as strippers played a role in their disappearance. Often times, the lure of money puts these women in harm’s way. FOX 2’s Alexis Wiley takes a closer look at why it’s so easy for some of these women to get trapped.
“I cried hard, very hard. I don’t even know this woman and I cried very hard,” said Ashlii.
These women never met Kalisha Madden and odds are they never will, but they know the life she led all too well.

The case was investigated by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Labor-Management Standards based in Cleveland. It has been assigned to Judge Jack Zouhary.
No court date has yet been set for Ms. Dixon.
The union is not the only to accuse a trusted employee of taking from its coffers.
In 2009, the business manager of Laborers Union Local 500, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Toledo to five years’ probation and ordered to pay $24,324.84 in restitution.
Steven Thomas had previously pleaded guilty to one count of labor union embezzlement for using union money throughout 2004 to pay for visits to strip clubs, where he spent nearly $18,000. A second count of union embezzlement was dismissed. That count alleged that Thomas did not have adequate receipts for thousands of dollars worth of cash advances for travel.

You see, the CMO at the pharmaceutical company that G&S is called in to help is a horny lady (aren’t they all?) and since Marty can’t possible cheat and/or lie to his new stripper girlfriend, he passes the fuck, sorry, the buck to Jeannie. Oh, and Monica is also on the prowl in D.C. so he has to avoid her unhealthy advances. It’s weird to argue this but perhaps Marty is actually becoming too safe too fast. Showing too much sudden restraint that his development feels anything but genuine. In fact, it almost feels like they are trying out a new starting point, erasing everything that happened in the three episodes between the pilot and episode 4 by planting an endless amount of new narrative seeds – the reappearance of April, the constant cloud of MetroCapital, the budding conflict with Brenda, Jeremiah’s Parkinson’s (WTF?) and Monica’s new found interest in Roscoe. This late world, story and character building may be part of the reason why the show feels boring, because it’s simply way behind where it should be and playing catch up.

Toledo Police are investigating a shooting Sunday morning that left two men with injuries, thought neither appeared to be life-threatening.
Sgt.Joe Heffernan said the two victims told police they were shot in the parking lot at at 135 South Byrne Road by somebody who drove by. The address is a shopping center that has the Deja Vu strip club and other businesses.
One person was shot in the back. The other was shot in the leg, Sergeant Heffernan said. The victims were transported to University of Toledo Medical Center, former Medical College of Ohio, and Toledo Hospital, where information was withheld because of the federal hospital privacy law.
The shootings occurred about 2:20 a.m.

Toledo Strip Clubs: House Of Lies Watch: Episode 6, Our Descent Into Los Angeles

The team is home for the end of the week and weekend so the storylines obviously stray towards their personal lives and since Doug and Clyde’s character aren’t really flushed out at all, that means they are relegated to the sidelines. Marty has dual threads this episode, first having to deal with the return of the stripper from the premiere named April. The last time we saw April, she was busy contributing to the divorce of the Norberts, therefore she’s obviously a less than welcome visitor to G&S. And yet, the scene where Norbert burst in on her under Marty’s desk giving him a blow job is a perfect example of how this show struggles because not only are the events unoriginal and poorly executed but it actually betrays it’s own premise – the scene’s conflict comes from Marty stuck in the sticky situation (especially given the circumstances of the other players and their previous dinner table history) and then, the phone rings and… nothing. The show just moves on the the next scene. Zero resolution. It just ends and deflates everything it had built.

Toledo Strip Clubs: Home intruder gets early release

Albert Nemeth, 41, who said he will move to Pontiac, Mich., was granted release after serving nearly 12 years of his sentence. Judge James Jensen granted the release, noting that Nemeth had completed several educational and counseling programs while incarcerated and had been classified by the prison system as having a “zero risk” of reoffending.
Judge Jensen denied Nemeth’s requests for early release six times prior to granting the motion. The judge noted that Nemeth continued to take advantage of programs even after he was denied release.
Nemeth was sentenced Dec. 1, 2000, to eight years in prison for aggravated burglary and eight years in prison for kidnapping, to run consecutively. He had previously entered a plea to rape but was able to withdraw it in lieu of the aggravated burglary charge.
Authorities said Nemeth stalked a dancer from a local strip club to a nearby restaurant but apparently followed a different woman out of the restaurant to her apartment on Holland-Sylvania Road.

Bidwill is a frequent donor to Republican candidates across the country. Perry, a Texas home builder, helped pay for the Swift Boat Veterans ads that attacked Sen. John Kerry during the 2004 presidential campaign. Perry has a total of $500,000 to Walker’s campaign.
The three others who gave Walker $250,000 each during one week this month were Missouri residents David C. Humphreys and his sister Sarah Atkins, both of Tamko Building Products, and Stanley M. Herzog of Herzog Contracting.
Members of the Humphreys family are some of the largest Republican donors in Missouri.
David Humphreys, who contributed $125,000 last year to the expected gubernatorial campaign of Missouri’s Republican Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, made news last fall by asking for his money back after Kinder admitted he frequented an Illinois strip club while he was a state senator in the 1990s. Kinder did not return the money but ultimately decided against running for governor.

You can tell we’re all flawed a little bit, because a lot of people in this business—you have to be a little narcissistic to believe you can do it. As we grow, you learn from our mistakes.
AVC: Does that ambiguity work as well in comedy?
BS: Absolutely. We can still find comedy in the situations. In the first episode, we go to a strip club to blow off steam, and we’re like completely different human beings… The fun of the show is that we all get to juggle the comedy with this dramatic aspect.

Toledo Strip Clubs: North Toledo may get two new strip clubs

NORTH TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – Two new strip clubs could be coming to north Toledo, despite some residents’ concerns. The city of Toledo has received two applications for adult-oriented businesses in the area.
At least one of the locations has the same investors as Platinum Showgirls, a strip club that burned down back in August. The club was destroyed and is no longer usable.
Platinum Kisses may move in front of the NorthTowne Mall in a building on the corner of Detroit and Alexis that used to be a restaurant.
Another strip club could be going in at the former Jed’s BBQ and Headliners.
Toledo City Councilwoman Lindsay Webb said the two businesses are complying with zoning laws and since adult-oriented businesses are protected by the Constitution, there is nothing council can do to regulate them.

Webb explained she is always concerned about the NorthTowne Mall property. She worries a strip club in the parking lot could drive away shoppers.
