Body found in marina identified, overnight stabbing at apartment complex, family robbed at gunpoint.
The body of the woman found in an Oak Harbor marina Tuesday has been identified. Investigators in Ottawa County say Jennifer Shively, 26, was a mother of 5 with her children in the custody of family members. Officials say Shively died of strangulation, but investigators are still trying to figure out why she was tied up, weighted down with cement blocks, and left in the water of Lamberjack’s marina in Oak Harbor. Investigators say Shively was homeless and involved in a life of prostitution and drugs and are looking into her lifestyle for possible leads.
Toledo police say an argument between a man and woman overnight ended in a stabbing. It happened in an apartment complex on the 200 block of 21st Street. Police say the man hit the woman with a cane knocking her down. He then stabbed her in the head and hand. She was taken to Mercy Saint Vincent Medical Center. The man was taken into custody. No word on the victim’s identity or condition at this time.
