EDMONTON â A 62-year-old man who rammed his car into a police officer who had caught him in an indecent act is facing four months of house arrest.
“This is serious conduct. People cannot disobey the lawful instructions of a police officer,” Court of Queen’s Bench Justice Sterling Sanderman told Morey Rudolph on Friday.
The Morinville resident pleaded guilty earlier this year to dangerous driving for the incident. Rudolph and a prostitute were in a car parked at the Amiskwaciy Academy on Airport Road around 3:20 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2008, when a police officer approached the car and told them to stop.
After more directions from the constable, Rudolph drove his car into the constable’s legs, toppling him onto the hood. The vehicle stopped when the constable drew his handgun and pointed it at the windshield.
