Puffy and J. Lo Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was dating bombshell J. Lo in 1998, and the couple were riding high until a fateful December night brought trouble to their highly publicized romance. The couple were partying it up at Club New York in Manhattan when gunfire broke out injuring multiple people. Puffy (as he was then called) was arrested alongside fellow rapper Shyne for felony gun possession and assault charges. Lopez found herself handcuffed as well, although never charged. In the end Puffy was found not guilty on all charges, but that wasn’t enough to save the relationship.
Nas and Kelis
These two have had their fair share of ups and downs. They met in 2002, married in 2005, and had filed for divorce and had a baby by 2009. Somewhere in between Kelis was put behind bars. The “Milkshake” singer was charged in 2007 with two misdemeanors for yelling racial slurs at undercover officers who were investigating a prostitution sting and had allegedly questioned men in the area, including her husband, Nas. Lucky for her though, Kelis was acquitted on all charges.
