PORT CLINTON — The woman whose body was found Tuesday at a Carroll Township marina had a history of arrests for prostitution and drugs, the sheriff said.
Ottawa County Sheriff Bob Bratton said the victim, Jennifer Shively, 26, of Toledo, had been arrested 16 times. He did not know if she had been convicted.
“She and her associates were well-known to the Toledo Police Vice Squad,” he said. “She ran with a bad crowd. Some of these people are hard core. They’ve been in and out of the criminal justice system, and they are not going to talk to any law enforcement.”
Authorities do not have any suspects in the death, Bratton said. Detectives will look at the people in Shively’s crowd, which included prostitutes, drug dealers and “managers,” he said.
