TOLEDO, Ohio – A well known Toledo restaurant and night club is back open after Toledo police raided the Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant on Sunday.
Seven people were arrested, including restaurant manager Ruben Rangel. The manager says the allegations ranging from drug use to prostitution are simply not true.
The establishment wasn’t the way they said it was Rangel said,
“There’s no drug trafficking, no narcotics in this establishment,” he said. “If so, we wouldn’t be opened the next day.”
The other side arrested in Sunday’s raid were customers.
“There was no reason,” Rangel said. “Nobody had any weapons on them. (Police) came in as if it was a movie – guns to people’s heads – and they told them to get down. That’s not right.”
