A Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputy faces trial on charges of aggravated indecent exposure and soliciting prostitution following a hearing Wednesday in Lenawee County District Court. Chad Jeremy Beaudin, 38, of Tecumseh was ordered bound over to circuit court for trial after a preliminary examination conducted by visiting Judge Samuel I. Durham Jr. of Calhoun County.
Beaudin is accused of asking a massage therapist for sex during a session on Jan. 27 at Defined Wellness, 1542 W. Maple Ave., Adrian.
An Adrian police detective reported Beaudin denied asking the woman for sexual favors when he offered her a tip during the massage session. He has been on suspension for an internal investigation, according to a Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
Aggravated indecent exposure is a felony carrying up to a two-year prison term. Soliciting prostitution is a misdemeanor with a maximum 93-day jail term. Beaudin has been free on personal recognizance since he was arraigned on March 15.
