Toledo Strip Clubs: ‘Lap dances for Haiti’ raises $1000 for quake relief

The situation in Haiti has moved businesses of all stripes (and dress codes) to help out.
Marilyn’s on Monroe in Toledo, OH, is a strip club that cares. Recently, the establishment raised $1,000 for Haitian earthquake relief through a charity drive dubbed, “Lap dances for Haiti.”
The general manager of Marilyn’s on Monroe, Kenny Soprano, had been looking for a charity fundraiser to improve its image even before the quake affected Haiti. According to the altruistic-spirited Soprano, “you don’t hear much about strip clubs giving back to the community.”
Instead of rounding up scores of dollar bills, Marilyn’s donated the $10 cover charges it collected on a Saturday night to ISOH/IMPACT, an organization that provides clothing and food to Haiti — as well as other countries where families have been ravaged by poverty and natural disaster.
